A cup of orange?

There is and there used to be a warming and architectural building of Ipoh airport used to be operated few years back. I cant remember the exact date but its closed due to the shortage of requirements being met where a longer landing lane should be paved for a safer landing. MAS pilots can easily land on it with their unfailing pilot skills. Still they closed the airport and only recently they start to operate the airport again.

The opening of airport will definitely boost the tourism industry where it used to be in a saturation cycle and transportation are highly dominated by bus companies like 88 and 草原, or just people in Ipoh are used to take bus to travel. Well, for me I'm glad that its gonna operate starting 12nd July 2009 and am gonna give it a try!

I'll be traveling again soon and hope i can post more before i leave for some time. =)

American Carrot Cake

Too busy entertaining good food in Ipoh is not the routine im gonna have for the whole month of holiday. Ive decided to try my new cake recipe and wala! it came out to be a moisture and soft texture, the vege oil soaks into the ake giving it a gooeyness creating such a delightful cake!

ok heres there recipe for readers and hope you enjoy it too!

Ingredients

(A)
3 eggs
150g milk
300g sugar
1/2 tsp salt

(B)
180g vegetable oil
1 tsp vanilla essence

(C)
280g self raising flour
1 1/2 tsps ground cinnamon

(D)
200g carrot, shredded
120g walnut, chopped

Methods..

Whip (A) until creamy and put (B) in. Sieve in (C) and mix until well blended and add (D) in.

Pour the mixture to a greased tin and bake at 180 degree celcius for 35-40 minutes depending on your oven. (DO not use micro-oven)

Its just as simple as pouring everything in and put it into the oven.

Working out

Im back! seriously.. im too busy to update blog and i rarely have time to stay at home because the food in Ipoh is so tempting. You wouldn't wanna walk out from house, because durian stall is just few streets away! ahh! Its a craziest week ever and never stop thinking bout food, and i even planned to eat at Menglembu and Gunung Rapat. In just 3 days, ive gained lotsa weight and now its time to buff up and put down some weights. Im gonna prove to you readers even with regular meals, you can still slim down in a week! my current weight is 71 now and let see wad happens after a week exercising =D

Oh.... where to eat later.. hmmm

5 star hotel?

Imperial Hotel （帝宫）, the 5 star rated hotel is placed just at the central business district, attracting numerous foreign customers even loyal customers from locals would applaud for its long years of serving them. But in fact , it is not performing par with threshold of acceptance among customers. Personal opinion might be hasty generalized but personal experience would definitely affect the overall customer experience.

Yesterday, i attended 6th Anniversary celebration of SMCGC in Imperial Hotel. The layout was fine and the food served taste nice. In five-star hotel, every customer are expected to be served well, somehow, the waitress did not perform well in serving food. Lacking of facial expression aggravates the situation, an even collect dishes without asking first is not a wise thing to do.

In the midst of the anniversary dinner, a security officer came to the front, grabbed the microphone and announced the security instructions to be guided in case anything goes wrong. I would personally felt its not a good timing to announce these during the dinner. A wrong manner of tone and tune might create emotional contagions among customers creating a poor service experience.

Wednesday? another holiday.

Its been so long for not updating my blog, blame to my laziness though. The semester had just ended, with the last paper on last Friday, and i have no idea what ive wrote for the exam, all i can think about during exam is...

" AH!! what im gonna eat when i reach hometown at first??"

"whats the next food im gonna hunt for???"

" ahh!! what im going to eat tonight!"

all the food images going through my mind all the time, even im sleeping and i could dream about it. But in fact, im going back on next Saturday, taking a night flight back to KL and hope to have a safe journey back to Ipoh. Gosh! its only Wednesday and what im going to do for next few days? Gahhh, guess im gonna be busy for the few days, eating around Miri and oh! ill be uploading some of the photoshots that im gonna do today!

Guess what, ive never been to Taman Awam Miri not even once after so long being here in Miri for about 3 years? Even Bintang Megamall, usually i would just hang around in Servay and visit Belle's bookshop. Theres a nice chicken rice near Servay just beside a CD shop and i can tell you the employees are so efficient serving the food. Once you called, the food will be served in less than 5 minutes!

For the following week, hope theres a chance visiting all the places in Miri and again i wouldnt miss a chance snapping a picture of Beautiful sunset in Miri, and in no time, i will be hanging around in Ipoh for few days and im off to Oversea! (for eating purpose..hahahah)
